Electrical Safety
Never touch exposed wiring, open junction boxes, or damaged electrical components with bare hands.
Use a non-contact voltage tester before touching any electrical panel, wire, or component.
Do not remove electrical panel covers if the area is wet or if you are standing in water.
Wear rubber-soled shoes when working near electrical panels. Never stand on a wet surface when inspecting electrical systems.
If you identify a serious electrical hazard (e.g., double-tapped breakers, aluminum wiring, Federal Pacific panels), document it and recommend a licensed electrician.
Your safety is our priority — taking these steps can prevent dangerous situations during your inspections.
