NPI Company Handbook

I acknowledge that I have received a copy of the Noble Property Inspections (“Company” and “NPI”) Company Handbook (“Handbook”). I understand that I am responsible for reading and abiding by all policies and procedures that apply to my engagement status (employees: full handbook; contractors: safety, confidentiality, and client-service standards).
Confidentiality, Non-disclosure and Non-solicitation Agreement

I understand that I must read and agree to the terms of the Confidentiality, Non-disclosure and Non-solicitation Agreement that is included in the Company Handbook. *Note: Non-solicitation Agreement does not apply to California residents. If you are a California resident then you are agreeing to the terms of the Confidentiality and Non-disclosure agreement.
Handbook Purpose

I understand that the purpose of this Handbook is to inform me of the Company’s policies and procedures. It is not an employment contract and does not create an employment or contractor relationship beyond what is stated in my individual engagement terms.
Safety
*
I understand that my job as an inspector is dangerous and comes with personal risk to health and safety. Whether as an employee or independent contractor, I am not required to traverse roof structures, building crawl-spaces, or inspect properties suspected to contain hazardous materials without proper PPE. I also understand that risks can be eliminated or substantially reduced by following good safety practices, refusing client/owner/agent requests to inspect dangerous areas of a property, and adhering to personal limitations.
Dispute Resolution

I expressly agree to the provisions of Part 6, Dispute Resolution, of the Handbook, in which I have agreed to use alternative dispute resolution, in lieu of litigation, as the sole means of resolving any dispute that may arise between the Company and me, subject to the Company’s right to seek injunctive relief. I agree to first seek to mediate any dispute with the Company with a mediator from the American Arbitration Association or similar organization trained and experienced in employment or contractor disputes. If mediation is not successful, I agree to submit the dispute to arbitration. I understand that by agreeing to arbitration I waive any right I may have to sue or seek a jury trial. The decision of the arbitrator will be final and binding.
Background Check

I approve and understand that the Company may perform a background check as part of its requirements for engagement (whether employment or independent contracting).
Tools

I agree I have reviewed the list of tools required to complete inspection work for NPI. I either have the tools already available, can acquire the tools in a short time (and have funds), or have settled with NPI on loaner tools or a tool reimbursement payment schedule.
